~ Beautiful Victorian, Deep Ruby, Clear Cut Rose Crystal for sale is a beautiful, very old , Ruby Red Crystal Bowl with clear cut Roses and Garland.I do not know very much about antique glass, and this as well as the other vase I have listed, reflectthe type of knowledge needed to price such pieces.I have done as much homework as I can, and am still confused.This bowl came from a house in Deland Fl. that was built in 1850, and is one of the first housesbuilt in Volusia County. The house sits right across from Stetson University.Like the other pieces I acquired, this piece was burieddeep beneath a pile of old Victorian paintings, and books. It was covered in dustand dirt, and God knows what else.This bowl is a very deep ruby, with clear roses and diamonds etched into the outer layer.This bowl measures 5 inches tall, by 7 inches wide. It appears to be in great condition,other than the two small chips in the rim. The Green opaline vase I found with this bowl was believedto be purchased by the owner of the homes Grandmother in 1840.I have seen prices on ranging from $5.00 to $5,000.But for the life of me, I don\'t think I would be able to tell you what makes one worth morethan the other. I was going to use it for my plants, but I figured a collector may be looking for this piece.As with the other sale, I am pricing this for offerding very low, reflecting mylack of knowledge of early art glass pieces.Perfect for collectors to buy low and sell high!
