This is a wonderful set by Schumann Arzberg of Germany, dating back to 1960 through 1970. They bear the official Schumann makers mark, as well as the blue Golden Crown E&R mark. The E&R mark was made by Schumann exclusively for Ebeling and Russ China. All the E&R pieces date before 1976, starting as far back as 1954. This 6 piece set presents in very good to excellent condition. There are a few minor scratches in the center of the large serving plate, which are not serious or troublesome. Otherwise, all the pieces look perfect, with no flaws or defects to be found. The plates all feature a very pretty fruit design done on white china with gold edging. The colors are nicely muted to resemble real fresh fruit. Each of the 5 smaller plates has a different type of fruit on it. The large plate measures 11 and a 1/2 in round, and the smaller dishes are 7 and a 1/4 in round. In total, all 5 pieces weigh just under 5 pounds. This is the perfect set to have on hand when entertaining. Its pieces like these that tend to make it easier for the hostess. Whether serving coffee and cake, or wine and horderves, this lovely set will definitely come in handy while making a very nice impression on your guests.
