This is a rare antique leather violin case. This case is made from black leather. The material underneath the leather is wood. It is a strong solidly-constructed case for a full-size violin.As you can see from the pictures, the exterior and interior are in good condition for such a vintage case. The covering shows scuffs and scratches (see pictures), but is otherwise completely intact, which is unusual for such an old case. The interior is original and in very good condition. The latches and hinges are all in great condition, but there is no key for the lock.The interior cloth and padding are in good condition exception of the spot where the panel (see pictures).The pictures display the case in-detail from all angles and are an essential part of the description. The pictures show close-ups of the front, back, top, bottom, ends, and interior. Please study them carefully and ask any questions before you offer.
