One of the famous patterns designed by Marie Webster called French Baskets.

c 1920s

It was first made by Marie Webster in 1914 and published in the book, \"A Joy Forever Marie Webster\'s Quilt Patterns\", By Rosalind Webster Perry and Marty Frolli. Book not included.

I have always loved this pattern with the elegant way it was created. Braided basket handles, reverse applique work on lower part ofbasket and pretty pink flowers.

Measures 79 x 78 inches

Hand quilted 8 stitches per inch.

Hand bound.Batting is thin. Applique is hand sewn.

Thequilt wasn\'t ever used or laundered. Has some scattered age spotting tanning in places. No wear.

Webster patterns are highly collected and prized.
