This is a beautifulvintage 4/4 violin. The label inside the violin reads: Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonesis, Faciebat Anno 1720, the year written in ink. It is branded Concert Violin Straduarius on the back of the scroll. This is most likely an early 20th Century German copy . The workmanship is excellent throughout. The violin has aflamed tiger mapletwo piece back, and amedium grained spruce top. It is fully lined and blocked. The violin has been fully restored. It has two old repaired cracks on the top deck. They are professionally done and completely stable. It has been revarnished at some point in the past, but the antique look has been presrved. Theviolin is in great condition for its age.This is a quality instrument, a cut above some of the modern advanced/intermediate level violins offered by Eastman, Knilling, Schen, Cao etc.The violin has a mature, beautiful tone.The sound ispowerful and and projects very well in large auditoriums.
