Hi there and thank you for viewing our listing here! First off, we are not experts in the field of Russian antiquities, however based on 2 authoritative figures we have shown this piece to, we are confident in saying this is a beautiful Imperial, Siberian Jade, silver and gold, with enamel and ruby and seed pearls letter opener. We are told it is circa 1890-1920\'s or so. The total length is 8 1/4\" long. The Blade is a very deep dark jade and almost semi transluscent. 3 of the little seed pearls are missing, and there are some very minor flea bites to the jade at the tip of the blade. You need a macro lens to see this. It is hallmarked in Cyrillic script and signed as shown in the images here. A really fine piece and the enamel is a wonderful robins egg blue.
