Beautiful hand blown & decorated late1800s? Roman-style swirled art glass bowl :
$74.99

We are listing this quite beautiful hand blown and decorated art glass bowl in a shape which was used by the Romans almost 2000 years ago, including the fancy clear glass applied classical face masks on two sides. Based on its glass and finish it was likely made in England in the late 1800s, but like almost all old glass it is unmarked so it is impossible to attribute it with complete certainty. The bowl is made of a beautifully hand swirled blue glass, has heavy gilding on its rim, the previously mentioned fancy clear glass applied masks on two sides, and a slightly rough pontil on the bottom of its base. It is over 1.5 inches tall, almost 4.5 inches at its widest point, makes a simply beautiful display piece, and it is in very good condition (there are a couple of typical little flaws in the glass, which you can see in the last picture). Please view the closeup pictures and judge for yourself. A beautiful piece of Roman-style art glass with a contemporary look.

We can currently only accept offers on this from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Shipping to the United Kingdom and Canada will be charged at cost. Payment must be made by Paypal within three days of the sale ending.
