This is a beautiful old tablecloth, 45\" square, with a deep: 3\" - 4\" , and complex lacy border which is scalloped both on the outer edge and where it joins the main firm linen centre. Around the foot wide central circle is another wide lacy band. Both here and on the outer edge there are a multitude of designs, including a dense lacy mesh tape effect which has additional fine strips which lift off, and flowers on top. Between the central and edge lace there are four delicate lacy 2\" squares, with white embroidered flower stems leading outto cutwork flowers.The lace is in great condition, but the cloth has been well used and there are (probably tea-) stains both in the central circle and outside it.
