Offered here is a very clean, gently used Bell & Howell FILMOSONIC Magnetic Sound Super 8mm Movie Projector Model #1742. Comes complete with attached power cord, take-up reel, microphone, the original (not a copy) \"how to use\" manual. front cover, and the original box and packing. The machine was manufactured in the mid-1970s so it\'s difficult to determine if it has the original bulb, but it was working when the machine was recently tested with a Castle Films magnetic sound movie THIS IS WAR starring the Marx Bros. (included). One word of caution as with most all \"auto-thread\" machines, read and adhere to the threading instructions as outlined in the manual (also included). I made the initial mistake of not holding down the thread lever long enough and chewed a little film (a silent test film, fortunately). But once mastering the threading procedure, the entire 200 ft reel of sound film ran without a problem--sound was booming and the picture was rock-solid. I added a few feet of additional leader to the Castle Film just in case you make the initial mistake. Hopefully, the bulb will travel well, but I make no guarantee, but replacement bulbs are readily available elsewhere on . The machine will be shipped within the 48 States via FedEx Home Delivery only.
