ATTN COLLECTORS: sale includes free shipping anywhere in USA. Grandpa had these antique candles sitting in a shoe box for many years. Now you can own and enjoy them. Both candles are in very good condition with very little dust on them. Both wicks are intact and unused. HARDY is just shy of 8\" tall, which is about 1/2\" taller than LAUREL. HARDY\'s base is 3\" x 3\". LAUREL\'s base is 3\" x 2 1/2\". Notice LAUREL has his hands behind his back and HARDY has his hands in front. These look like they could be hand carved, made of natural bees wax, and rubbed with a darker stain to give shadow and definition. If they came from a mold, I would think there would be some more candles out there but I haven\'t located any, ever, anywhere! Another reason I think these are beyond rare is because both are signed by the artist. Each have \'PaP\' carved on the back of their bases, along with what looks like a butterfly. How unusual! Also notice their individual names are carved on the top of the base, in front of their shoes. I haven\'t seen anything like these before and I have been looking for a while now. Truthfully speaking, exact age and exact artist is unknown. The signature \"PaP\" and the butterfly (as mentioned) is only clue to go on. (If you have any information about these, please do share.) Grandpa liked to collect old antique toys and other interesting, fun old things. These certainly are interesting, and, I believe truly rare.
