Here is a very nice vintage medal made of a heavily silver-plated bronze, in quite splendid condition overall, measuring app. 2 & 1/2\" across, with a plain edge. This beautiful patriotic commemorative shows basically no wear, and it has great color, with full, crisp detail. I have not cleaned it in any manner, and four of the scans have been \"enhanced\" for clarity. At about 1/4\" thick, it weighs a healthy 4.5 ounces, and it comes in its original, well-used box of issue.

The obverse features a scene of a heavily armored horse and its knight rider heading left, the fellow with a sword raised and long plumes on his helmet, his mount protected and made to look like a unicorn. The small dates \"1776-1976\" are at the upper right, with \"American Revolution Bicentennial In Maryland\" beneath the view. Around all is \". Carolvs: Absolv. Dms. Terrae. Mariae. Et. Avaloniae. Baro. De: Baltemore.\", a cross at the top.

The reverse features the seal of the state, I\'d guess, which incorporates a bannered crown with Flags, a shield enclosing crossed and flanked by two men, a slogan in Latin on a banner beneath., all surrounded by another spaced inscription in Latin. The edge is stamped \"C (copyright) Medallic Art Co., Danbury, Ct. - Bronze S/P\". Superb! $4.99
