This sale is for a vintage windup Ocean liner made around 1915 to 1927 in Germany by the Bing company. It is about 12 inches long. As noted above, it is missing parts and has had a lot of repainting. It looks like the original name and black paint are still present. It\'s a bit of a mystery -- according to the pictures in Claus\' \"The Allure of Toy Ships\" the name Leviathan was used on a series of boats with white superstructures and red hulls (as this one had). But the picture of the 12 inch boat there has all round portholes and 4 air funnels on the deck. This boat has that paint scheme, but the round and square portholes and no air funnels was used on the Imperator 12 inch boat, but it had a black and gold hull. This boat for sale looks just like B-105 on page 77 of Claus (so, it\'s sort of a Leviathan name and paint scheme with an Imperator series superstructure). The top of the superstructure slides off so you can see the motor inside. The replacement key I\'m including winds it up, but it\'s a short shaft Technofix key and would not fit down through a smokestack. Motor is very strong, runs a long time on a few cranks. When I bought the boat it was filthy and was not advertised as running. I was planning to cut it up to use for a steampunk project of mine but when I cleaned it up and oiled the motor it ran so nicely that I couldn\'t bring myself to cut it, so hopefully it can go off to someone who\'ll restore it. U.S. Shipping: I use First Class (up to 16 oz) and Priority mail after that. Books ship media mail. I only charge actual postage - no added fees. I combine multiple items won by the same person the same day and charge actual postage. If you\'re looking to buy other items not ending yet just let me know and I\'ll hold the shipment to combine them for you.I use lots of bubble wrap and peanuts and good boxes. In a group of multiple pieces each item is wrapped individually. Whenthere is an original box or other original paper item I put that into a plastic bag in case you get delivery on a rainy day.

International Shipping: I gladly ship international. First Class International is available up to 4 pounds in weight, after that it has to be Priority mail which is expensive. Please note that there can be lengthy delays at Customs. Per rules, import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges -- these charges are the buyer\'s responsibility.

Return Policy: Returns are accepted within30 days, so long as item is returned in the condition that it was in when it was sold. If the item was misrepresented I will refund the postage both ways. If the item was not misrepresented, I will refund the purchase price only -- not the shipping paid to get it to you, or for you to return it. I use a loupe to examine the toys while I\'m listing them, and I try and mention the significant condition issues that I can see. I value my reputation and I am not knowingly going to put out false or misleading info on a toy -- if I\'m wrong about a fact about the toy I\'ll refund your money.
