Up for sale is a huge stunning mid-century modern “Rimini Blue” stylized horse statue or figurine by renown designer Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche of Italy circa 1960.Rare and hard to find, this large gorgeous Italian Art Pottery statue is from the iconic Bitossi “Rimini Blu” range and features an Asian influenced horse with embossed texturing and vivid blue over yellow and black glazes creating a bright and colorful Mediterranean turquoise. This early vintage example is unmarked and unsigned, there is some sticker residue from an original label on the underside. The monumental dimensions are approximately 15 1/2\" tall by 16 3/4\" long by 7\" wide and the weight is very heavy at 14.5 pounds. This fabulous Bitossi “Rimini Blue” ceramic horse is in great vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only very light age-appropriate surface marks or wear, there are a few very small characteristic imperfections and nicks to the glaze on the right nostril, the top knot, rear left haunch and top edge of the tail (please see all photos and ask any questions before offerding, no returns).An excellent addition for the collector of mid-20th century modern Italian style and design from Aldo Londi and Bitossi.• •fantoni • gambone • fornasetti • raymor________________________
