This Black Forest Germany Cuckoo Clock from the 1850\'s to 1890\'s era is COMPLETE and ORIGINAL andHAS BEEN COMPLETELY RESTORED. It isin EXCELLENT CONDITION, and KEEPS PERFECT TIME.
This cuckoo clock is made of SOLID OAK,with beautifully detailed wood carvings. Centered on top of the roof is abeautifully carved eagle (with a 12\" inch wingspan) perched on a limb adorned w/beautifully carved large oak leaves. More beautifully detailed wood carvings of oak leaves adorn the perimeter of the dial. The quail bird pops out of left door at top and calls on the quarter,half, three quarters, and full hour. The cuckoo bird pops out of right door attop and calls (cuckoos) on the full hour. The quail bellows (all three) have been replaced with new leather and have been repapered. This clock has double gongs on the back door (each hammer has it\'s own gong. The clock comes with it\'s originalbeautiful large oak leaf pendulum and three pine cone shaped cast ironweights with the original wire hooks.
This cuckoo clock measures 21 inches tall, 18 inches wide, and 11 inches deep.

I clean, oil, andadjust all of my cuckoo clocks before placing in sales. What does cleaningthis clock mean: The clock hands are removed from the front of the clock, andthe cuckoo bird is detached from the door. The back door is opened. Thebellows, movement, and chains are removed from the clock case. The movement isthoroughly cleaned. It is then lubricated in the proper places and hung on astand with attached weights to restore function. If necessary, the bellow topsare custom covered to maintain the original cuckoo call. The cuckoo bird ishand cleaned to maintain the original finish. The clock hands are cleaned. Theinside of the clock case is brushed clean. The outside of the clock case isrubbed with lemon oil. Then all the parts are replaced back into the clock. Theclock is then hung on the wall to make sure it is in working condition, andadjusted for accurate time.I do my best to restore all of my clocks to workingcondition while maintaining the original beauty of the clock. All clocks aredescribed as accurately and honestly as possible. My clocks are always inworking condition when sold. Please keep in mind that my clocks are not new.These time pieces have signs of age that make them distinctive and pretty, abeauty that only time can give.
