This Rhino Sits with his nose high in the air and his legs are planted onthe ground with an immoveable stance. Rhinos are known for using bodylanguage to communicate. Typically rhinos never lift their heads from walking,trotting or grazing; rhinoceros keep their heads down in the same positionand will only raise it when they become alarmed. They are able to maintainspeeds of 25 miles per hour over short distances and they are surprisinglyagile. They also use Vocalizations to communicate as well. This bronzesculpture depicts an alarmed rhino. His ears are up right and forward on thealert of any strange noises and his head high in the air checking out hissurrounding and ready to charge at any moment. This bronze portrays greatlife-like qualities such as the proportions right down to the elongated head andthe horns, one horn in front and a shorter one behind. The skin is thick andprominently folded on the front of the shoulders and on the upper part ofthe hind limbs. His massive feet sports 3 toes on each and has greatdetail. This bronze sculpture was cast using the \"Lost Wax Method\" ensuringquality of detail. This bronze sculpture has a special hand painted multi goldand brown color patina.
