A silver pocket watch in a carved black forest watch case with double albert.
The wooden watch case is hand carved and feature acorns and oak leaves. As you can see in the photos the hinge of the watch case has been repaired using a piece of leather. This is an old repair and was bought in this condition.The swiss made silver pocket watch fits the wooden case perfectly. I have wound the watch and it ticks away but the second hand stops occasionally. The watch will need attention to get it running properly. The inside of the back of the watch has a .925 mark and 2 other symbols which I can\'t make out and the number 47533, and presumably the makers mark F.D. in a circle. There also 3 sets of small hand engraved numbers. The inner door also has F.D. and .925 stamped on it and the number 47533, however the number 7 looks like it has been stamped over a number 5.
