Original 1922 broadside poster titled, \"For the Good of America. Do You Know that the United States is the Only Land on Earth where Human Beings are BURNED AT THE STAKE?\" An incredible anti-lynching poster filled with many disturbing statistics. Printed by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) out of New York City. Mention is made of The Dyer Anti-Lynching Bill.The Dyer Anti-Lynching Bill was introduced by Representative Leonidas C. Dyer, a Republican from St. Louis, Missouri, in the United States House of Representatives in 1918, and was directed at punishing lynchings and mob violence. The Bill was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on January 26, 1922 but its passage was halted by a Southern Democratic filibuster in the U.S. Senate. An example of this rare and historically important poster soldat Swann sale Galleries in their \"Printed & Manuscript African Americana\" sale in 2011 for $4080 and again this past March for $4500. No other sale records found.

* CONDITION: Overall Very Good- with some small paper loss at the upper two corners. Some scattered stains on the upper half of the broadside, both front and reverse. Background color is all even and the same, but my camera caught a bit of shadow along the bottom half.
