This lovely vase measures 5 1/2\" (14 cm) in height andis 3\" (7.6 cm) in diameter at the widest point. It is earthenwareand very heavy for it\'s size. You can see the horizontal \"rings\"throughout, but especially in the lower neck. The blue isunder the glaze. The design is very pretty. I do not know theage of this piece, but the dealer I purchased it from told meit was 19th century. She bought it in Europe in the late 1950\'sso it is not \"new\", at least, by all accounts. Chinese piecesare so well made, they hold up to time. It does have wearon the unglazed bottom ring.
