Good evening, I am listing a fantastic8 x10 photograph taken of the crew of the B29 \"Bockscar\". The photograph taken outside their quarters at Wendover Field In the fall of 1944 after the crews for the 393rd were formed. TheB29 \"Bockscar\" was named after It\'s Airplane CommanderFred Bock. I took an original photograph loaned to me by one of the Crew members to a Photographic Laboratory who took a picture of the photo with a copy camera ( the days before scanners ) I had additional copies made and traded copies to the men for their autographs on several copies. This photograph has been autographed by ( 7 ) of the men on the Crew. It has been autographed by Airplane Commander, Fred Bock, Hugh Ferguson, Pilot, Len Godfrey, Navigator, Bill Barney, Radar Ralph Curry, Radio and Ralph Belanger, Asst. Flight Engineer/Scanner, Bob Stock, Tailgunner.

This photograph was autographed 18-20 years ago, only one Crewman Is now alive. The Bock Crew was especially hard for me to obtain autographs. Mr. Bock did not want to autograph many Items. I am selling a 25 year collection that cannot be duplicated, once photos are sold they are gone.

I am showing the letter from Mr. Bock to me for provenance. It Is not part of the listing.

I would like to remind you that you are purchasing from an historian that studied the 509th Composite Group for over 25 years. I knew over 300 of the Veterans In this group. Many of the photographs that I have listed on were used In my book, and I was fortunate to obtain a few extra\'s. I did my best to obtain high quality photographs before I had them autographed, and make sure the photographs were historically correct. This was all done before the advent of digital photography. Much of my work has been copied which I consider a compliment.

I was elected an Honorary Member In 2001, have attended all reunions since 1990, edit their Newsletter and have been Chairman for their Reunions 2001-2006, 2008-17 (16 Reunions)

This B29 was one of 15 B29\'s that Paul Tibbetshad specially builtusing the code word \"Silverplate\" which gave him unlimited power for anything he needed. V-77 \"Bockscar\" flewthe secondAtomic Mission,as the strike (bomb carrying) B29 Piloted by Charles Sweeney. This crew, the Fred Bock crew, flewthe B29 \"Great Artiste\" the Instrument plane. The plane \"Bockscar\"exists today on display at Wright Patterson Air force Base Museum. For more Information on this plane, crew and missions I would like to refer you to my book, \"The 509th Remembered\", see below for ordering Information.

The autographsare on the photothis Isnot a scan, reprint or forgery. The autographswereobtained by me.

You will receive the autographed photo you see, anda copy ofMr. Bock\'s business card,(a copy not the original) which will look good with the photo, and a history of the plane reproduced from our book \"The 509th Remembered\" available on our site or on Amazon.
