DISCUSSION:

A pioneering exhibition of American folk sculpture which focused purely on \"naive\" pieces, eliminating the popular decoys, cigar store indians and carousel horses which until then had constituted the bulk of what most collectors thought of as \"folk carving\".

DESCRIPTION and CONDITION NOTES:

Softcover. 8.5\"x11\", 27 pages, several color and many black & white illustrations. Covers rubbed and somewhat worn, rear cover with dampness wrinkle, center page sheet detached from the staples, some pencilled check marks.
