Here we have for sale a splendid vintage Turkish meerschaum estate pipe,carved todepict thehead of a Sultan, which forms the bowl.
The pipe was hand carved by Nurhan Cevahir of Istanbul, and comes complete in its original boxprinted with:\"Real Meerschaum PipesGuaranteed Hand WorkProduct of TurkeyNurhan CevahirBeyoglu, Bekar Sokak 12/4Istanbul - Turkey\"
There is also a \"Statement\" leaflet inside the box, printed with:\"This meerschaum pipe has been manufactured by master artisans from first classMeerschaumblocks. The quality of this pipe and its workmanship are guaranteed -Nurhan Cevahir, Istanbul\"
The pipe is completely unsmoked and remains in near mint condition - just with a couple of verylight teethmarks on the stem.
The stem screws very securely to the shank, and air flows through the pipe freely.
\"Made in Turkey\" on the stem.
The box has some damage.Please note: the pipe stand visible in a couple of photos is not included in this sale.
