You are looking at a brand new Treasure Box from the Uncle Bean’s Treasure Box Series from The Boyds Collection It is called Opie’s Creel Basket with Minnow McNibble. It was released for Spring 2005 and is now retired. This adorable resin treasure box is 2 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches high. Each treasure box has many special features and extraordinary details. Each box has a lift out tray, an inspirational message, a McNibble mouse character and unbelievable detail. This one is no exception!
Opie’s Creel Basket with Minnow McNibble is adorable! It is a nostalgic antique styled creel fishing basket with great detailing. This basket will let someone have a wonderful day fishing! It is so cute!
The basket is divided near the top by the traditional treasure box brass rings and brass paw print button. As you open the basket, you will see, printed in yellow, \"A bad day fishing is better than a good day anywhere else.\"
Inside the basket is a lift-out tray chocked full of fishing necessities. Underneath the tray, you will find Minnow McNibble, an adorable tiny mouse, approximately 7/8 inches big, dressed in his favorite fishing vest and holding his catch of the day. Minnow has put a tiny “Gone Fishin” sign above his back door in the bottom back area of the basket.
On the bottom of the “wicker” basket the message “A fish on the hook is better than ten in the brook” reminds us of the joys of fishing. The edition and number are hand written on the bottom of the basket also.
Opie’s Creel Basket with Minnow McNibble is so sweet and has details you have to see to believe. This treasure box will be a wonderful addition to your collection or a great gift for the collector.
