Brazilian Quartz with Maine Tourmaline Hand Carved Grey Crowned Crane:

This hand carved grey crowned crane is made from Brazilian Quartz and Tourmaline mined at the Plumbago Mine in Newry, Maine in the early 1970s. The plume on the top of the crane\'s head is made from silver, and the base is a piece of Peruvian Pyrite. This piece was carved in Idar-Oberstein Germany during the early 1970\'s. The carving is in excellent condition and has 100% of its natural coloring.
