Custom resculpted and painted Breyer Tennessee Walking Horse Stallion.

Breyer original \"Traditional\" sized (approximately 12 inches) American Saddlebred model. Drastically resculpted and repainted to be a Sabino Roan Tennessee Walking Horse stallion in full gaited stride.
Artist Note~This model\'s sculpture is a reflection of the Midnight Sun and Pride of Midnight blood lines. It is known that the legendary Midnight Sun and many of his direct decendants were talented enough on their own that soring and heavy pads and contraptions weren\'t needed to enhance the natural gait of these high stepping stallions, unlike so many walkers of today. The Tennessee Walkers of generations ago were a completely different animal than the show animals of today. I as an artist of model horses do not condone the padding of walkers and therefore always display my walkers flat shod with no pads or chains. And this model portrays the Pride of Midnight and Midnight Sun high stepping naturally flat shod look of the Tennessee Walking horse in it\'s true form...and free from abuse.
Performance Tennessee Walkers with no pads.
Original neck removed. New neck sculpted in a turned arched position. Original mane, forelocks, and partial tail removed. Front legs repositioned for a high stepping pose. Chest muscles resculpted in high detail to reflect the movement of the gait. Hind legs repositioned. Right hind leg pulled forward with all muscle removed and entirely new leg muscles and rump resculpted. Hips and pelvic area resculpted. Left hind leg pulled back for extended step. Original genitals removed and stomach tucked. New stallion parts sculpted. Head bulked up in front and ears lenghthened and carved out. New nostrils and mouth resculpted. Back bulked up and sloped. Priginal tail trimmed down and new sculpture added to it. Hooves carved out. Forelock and mane ribbon braids sculpted.
Done in acrylics and pastels. Base color in a white. Shaded spots, patches, and ticking. Pastelled in light to dark shades of grey. Done in over 30 layers. Washes and antiquing done throughout. Lots of ticking and roaning details. Flesh shaded in the joints and musculature of the legs and face. Spotted nose with flesh on the muzzle. Stallion parts in flesh with few black spotting. mane and tail in matching grey and black mixture. beige yellowing coloration at the ens od the tail. Lighter chestnuts. Left eye done in multiple shades of browns, with the right eye in cracked glass style brown with partial blue in the iris. Elongated pupil and highlights. Show ribbon braids painted in bright metallic blue. Polished black hooves.
Show Halter Tack Included
Horse wears a black leather show halter with chain, silver accents for rivets, and black n white brow band. Horse also comes with a handmade blue satin show rossette made from folded blue satin ribbon. Rossette has a wire that simply hooks over the brow.
Painted in acrylics and sealed in a matt sealer. Eyes, inside of the nose, mouth crease, hooves and exposed male organ glossed. Artist signature and date under hind leg.
