This is one of the few \"flow blue\" platters left of this distinction and vintage age...VERY special!A beautiful piece for the connoisiour and displays perfectly! Secondly rare because if it\'s LARGE size ,fee available!

Flow blue was made in England and other countries about 1830 to 1900. The dishes were printed with designs using a cobalt blue coloring. The color flowed from the design to the white body so the finished piece has a smeared blue design. Designs on the flow-blue plates include oriental motifs, floral patterns, romanticized landscapes, and historic events. The dishes were usually made of ironstone china. Flow Blue is found under name of manufacturer.

11\"W x 13 3/4\" Long ...1 3/4\" High from table

It has an oriental scene with pagoda and floral design around the rim. It has a rectangular scalloped corner shape.

It is marked on the back,Sobraon.

• There are small glaze dimples due to its glazing technique - where the stack stand \"points\" touched - which is normal for this work.

• There is some surface glaze wear commensurate with its special vintage age- but does not detract from its beauty and rarity.
