ARTIST / DESIGNER Bruce R. MacDonaldhere is one vintage article about the artistMacDonald\'s work has won numerous awards over the years.
Most recently he received the 2002 Niche Design Award, although he claims his favorite was \"The Most Innovative Use of Materials Award\" at the Philadelphia Furniture Show curated by the chairman of the industrial design department of the Rhode Island School of Design.
He says it\'s \"nice to be recognized\" for his work combining so many different materials.
\"Juxtaposition is high energy,\" he says.
He recently completed a commissioned sculpture for the head of the Human Genome Project commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of Watson and Crick\'s discovery of DNA (MacDonald\'s DVD rack also evokes DNA with its sculpted helix form).
Bruce also created the lifetime achievement award for the Manchester Film Festival in fall of 2002.
\"I enjoy the dynamic of industrial design work for outside clients, my own production line and the pull of one-of-a-kind commissioned pieces,\" he says. \"Keeps the tools sharp.\"

those little stars they ask you click ...well those are important to the sellers ratings .. if they are judged unfairly by the buyer ... they can do harm ....& a couple of those categories ... the seller has no power to change (like shipping costs)in THIS country now charges the SELLER 9 percent of shipping charges .... so factor in that 9% of postal fees, ....then packaging supplies & cost of gas to drop off packages , the many hours of labor ; etc, etc .... & you will better understand that most sellers actually LOSE a good amount of funds where shipping is concerned ..... ...............especially sellers like us .... who offer larger items such as furniture / large art / lighting / etc

hey ..... if we could afford to offer free shipping we would ....but we already spend a couple grand a year just on packing supplies so that your items arrive safely!another factor a lot of buyers may not realize... final fee costs have about DOUBLED in the past couple years.... ..... (they make it look like they are doing the seller a favor by not charging the 25 cent to a dollar listing fees up to 50 items .... but instead ... they greatly increased the Final Fee Charge ..... when we started over 17years ago ...
