Great Expectations is one of the most desired vintage kits that Bucilla has ever produced. It is a very colorful kit and perfect for anyone. This a small child is waiting patiently in front of the fireplace where the stockings are hung with care. The mantle is decorated with holly and lit with candles as the child and his kitten sit with their list for Santa and his plate of cookies. This can be finished as a child of either sex and even the pajamas can be adjusted to be a little girl.

I made this stocking many years ago and even though it looks simple and plain, it is a precious stocking when finished. This is one of the cutest kits even though it is not as detailed as some that are now being produced.It is trimmed in the gold cord like most of the vintage kits.

When completed, this stocking is 18\" in diagonal length. It contains stamped felts (60% Rayon and 40% Wool), gold braid, cotton floss, Persian crewel yarn (100% wool), 2 needles, color separated sequins and beads, all decorative trim including the gold braid to finish the edges, as well as easy-to-follow instructions.

This stocking kit is one of the most popular kits, perhaps due to the novel by Charles Dickens, but it does not have a date or designer listed. It is extremely limited and very hard to find. I think so many people remember having it or making this kit for someone near them. I am always having requests for it. Now\'s your chance to get it.

Bucilla produced this stocking and packaged it is 2 ways. The earlier packaging was in the old green box which breaks due to storage and age. The kit is sealed in the plastic packaging and is still factory sealed. It is in mint condition.

This stocking kit is still factory sealed and in extremely great condition considering how old it it. Please do a close up on the picture and check this out for yourself. This would be a great kit for anyone. It is one of the older kits that is trimmed in the gold braid and similar to many produced in the 60\'s & 70\'s.

Since this kit was bought on the secondary market, it has been sterilized and guaranteed germ-free. It is for this reason that mykit costis slightly higher but definitely worth it.It is sterilized in the same manner that surgical instruments are sterilized. You can be sure that you will not be receiving anything but a perfect kit from me.

I wrap all of my kits in white tissue and label them so that there is no chance of the kit opening during transit and losing a bead or sequin. Itpreserves the cleanliness of the kit as well. All of my kits are from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free Environment except for the vintage kits. I do take extra precaution on all vintage kits or opened to maintain they are germ-free.
Since vintage kits go through so many hands, it is for this reason that mykits costa little more because they are completely sterilized using the procedure that is used in a surgical procedure.I don\'t just wipe down the outside of a package with a germicide. I sterilizecompletely throughout the kit.
There is a grommet hole, a hole which is used fordisplaying the kit, ornament, etc., germs and bacteria can go through the grommet hole on any kit. It is worth it to make sure your kit is germ-free. I will never sell you an incomplete or dirty kit. If I receive a kit that has a torn, dirty or in an extremely worn plastic package, I will replace it with a new bag and professionally heat seal it.
