Thisis an exceptional quality sculpture of anAntique Polychrome ViennaBronzeBULLDOGLETTER CLIP,a figuralbronzeclipona polishednickel platebase. The bronze sculpturehas a darkbrown polychromedpatina, and sitsatop a hingedspring on a nickelplatebase.TheBronze has excellent detail- the subject matter is a bulldog head.Thebronzehas a greatpatina commensurate with age.

Thefront of the clip at the mouth lifts with a push on the top end ofthe collar, and stays closed firmly due to the spring mechanism,which allows letters, receipts, papers, newspapers, shopping lists,notes etc. to be held securely in the clip. The base plate has a holefor wall hanging, and it is a useful desktop item as well as apaperweight.
