DETAILS:

Case: Delightfulwithunmistakable lugs which seem almost tied to the case. Original & signed ‘Bulova’. The 10kt gold plated bezel andstainless steel case back have been cleaned & repolished and topped offwith a new acrylic crystal. In general the case looks fantastic with virtuallyno wear/scratches present.

Crown: New,newly acquired ‘Bulova’ stock. \'Signed. Excellent.

Dial: Veryeye-catching & immaculate. The original dial has been professionallyrefinished to a high standard in white, accentuating and complimenting the richlustre of the 10kt gold plated case. The dial shows raised gilt batons at the‘odd’ hour positions and gold tone numerals at the ‘even’ positions. The‘Bulova’ name, ‘selfwinding’ and minute chapter are black.

Hands: Hour, minute & sweep secondhand, new, ‘Bulova’ stock, gilt, looking great.

Movement: BULOVAhigh quality Swiss manual & self winding movement. This is a fine classic10AUC calibre with 17 jewels and is marked ‘L0’ for 1950. Designed to preventover-winding. The movement has been cleaned, oiled & adjusted, and at thetime of listing is running well keeping good time ready to wear. As with allvintage watches regular servicing is recommended

Size: Roundmeasures approx. 30.50mm in diameter. Approx.38.73mm long including lugs.

Band: A smart new 16mm black leather band with gold tone buckle has been fittedcomplementing the watch perfectly.

General comments:

This is a truly outstanding example of a Bulovawatch from 1950 which has been restored to appeal once again – and as I’m sureyou will agree, it certainly does. The 10kt gold plated case and refinishedwhite dial make the watch highly desirable and an unmistakable collector’sitem. This watch is very similar, though not an exact match for the ‘Thayer’model.

If you have always wanted to owna classic wristwatch this charming Bulova watch may be the one for you.

The watch will come in a smart new black cardpresentation box with black cushion inside. A nice touch, so you\'re notsearching around for something to put the watch in.

IMPORTANT DETAILS TO NOTE

This is a vintage watch with a manual & self winding movement from the 1950, some 64 years old, and as such it will not have the accuracy of a contemporary quartz movement therefore perfect time accuracy cannot be expected. If you want a watch to simply put on and go – then perhaps this is not the best choice you could make – however, if you want a period timepiece that you can admire and enjoy on each occasion you wear it, then this is a great item.
