* FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING! *An original C.1750 French European Hunting Sword. With very attractive shell guard anddistinctive rounded pommel with inset human head. Retains the original leather and coppertwistwire to the grip. The blade isplain, unfullered and slightly curved.The sword comes with its scabbard - looks to have been refurbished but done very well. The blade shows signs of commensurate agewear. The proportions of the sword arequite small and delicate so it could even have been made for a child or itcould be regarded as a large hunting dagger - certainly a very interestingpiece and probably unique. Blade lengthis 18.5 inches (23 inches overall).
