Up for sale is a gently used vintage professional C. G. Conn Elkhart \"Connstellation\" 28D double french horn in excellent condition. All valves and slides move freely the valve compression is good. The 28D model is similar in design to the 8D model, but the bell and slide crooks are made of brass. This french horn has tapered rotors(Elkhart), a nickel silver lead pipe, outer slide tubes, caps, etc. There are no major dents present and several minor dings don\'t affect performance. This rare brass french horn has scratches throughout from normal use and lacquer wear is minimal, with approximately 95% of lacquer intact. The serial number is in the low N40,xxx range, which dates the year of manufacture to approximately 1970. There are some blemishes throughout under the lacquer. Included is a gently used Conn french horn case with working case latches. No mouthpiece is included.
