C1890 German Black Forest Tantalus Chalet Bohemian Decanter & Cordial Glass Set:

This listing is for an antique, circa 1890 German Black Forest carved wood tantalus with 4 Bohemian glass decanters and 11 cordial glasses. The tantalus measures 8 inches or 20.3cm high, and is 12 inches or 30.4cm wide at the base. The decanters measure 7 1/2 inches or 19cm high, and the glasses are 3 1/2 inches or 8.8cm high. The wood tantalus is all hand carved with 4 turned legs, curving edges, and a long finial form handle at the center. The platforms of the tantalus are etched with a scrolling leaf design on a stippled background. The decanters have their original stoppers and the bottles are acid etched with scrolling grape vines adorned with leaves and clusters of grapes. Two of the decanters have their original engraved labels hanging on chains around the necks. The glases are etched a floral design around the cups.The condition overall is very good; the decanters have their original stoppers and are not chipped. The glasses are all in very good condition, but there are some missing from the set. The wood is all in very good condition.
