The plates themselves are photographic composites each of about 100 head and shoulders portraits; \"Modern Celebrities\" - politicians and aristocrats; \"Divines of the Church of England\"; \"Musical, Operatic and Dramatic Celebrities\" - two plates; \"Celebrities of the Church, Science, Literature and Art\"; \"Group of Well-Known Presbyterian and Nonconformist Ministers\".

Faced with a page showing an outline key identifying the portraits opposite.

CONDITION

In original red cloth binding with gilt detailing to the front board. Externally,rather rubbed, with loss and lifting to the backstrip. Front joint is starting. Internally, binding is a little tender. Bright, though with scattered spotting. Plates are bright and complete. Overall: GOOD ONLY.
