This delicate late-Victorian/Edwardian hinged bangle bracelet is a rare find in that ALL of the cobalt blueenameling remains intact on the outside. The round centerpiece originally had 15 gold leaf stars on it - 12 remain. A genuine pearl is set into the center. Two scrolls, on each side of the center blue medallion, have 13 seed pearls set into them. The pressure clasp works perfectly - there is a safety arm for added security on 1 side as well as a gold-filled safety chain. This bracelet is marked 14 on the underside of the clasp, it also acid-tested positive for 14k gold.The centerpiece is also enameled on the underside. The word FRANCE is marked in gold leaf on the underside enameling and there is an edge chip there.This bracelet weighs 17.5 grams, measures 2 1/2\" in diameter, and has an inner circumference of 7 3/8\".
