This Early 1900s German Chronometer - Werke, Hamburg Marine or Nautical Large Wall Clock has a porcelain dial, a brass ship\'s clock style brass bezel with a beveled glass lens and a beautifully detailed wood case but the movement will need some attention. All I have is what is shown in the photos. I will describe this clock as I see it. The movement is running but the hand shaft is broken off at the outside end and there are missing parts for the hands on the outside of the front plate. The platform escapement, spring and all other wheels and shafts look OK (see photo). The well made 4\" diameter movement bears the number 124738 28 and the platform escapement bears the number 79464. The mounting plate for the movement is missing. The porcelain dial is approximately 6 1/4 inches in diameter and has a 5 1/4\" chapter ring. The dial is excellent with minor imperfections and is signed Chronometer - Werke Gesellschaft Mit Beschrankter Haftung Hamburg (see photo). The white spots you see on the dial are glare and are not on the dial. The beautifully detailed wood case has some nicks and scratches that do not detract from its overall appearance. The back of the case bears the number 185. The clock is approximately 10 3/4\" in diameter x 3 3/4\" deep and weighs about 6 1/2 pounds.
