Offered here is a circa 1930 nice old Navaho weaving that measures 4feet 2 inches long by 3 foot 8inches wide or 50” x 44”. It isattributed to the Chinle weaving area and is in very good condition. It was hand-woven by an expert weaver on aprimitive upright loom of all Native handshorn, handcarded and nicely handspun Merinoquality sheep wool, both weft & warp.Here is quite a unique old Yeii in a rug textile.The Yeii is a nice colorful 3 dancer layout on a black field with a widebold rug style border with red and black Chinle style stars all around theivory white field. It looks great on awall.

We obtained this vintage Native American textile ona rug hunt in Coloradojust to offer you here on . It has anice weft count averaging 28 per inch and a warp count of 6 per inch. The selvage cords are all in excellentcondition with 3 sides being replaced and 12” of the 4th sidereplaced. Warp selvages are 2-spiralcords and weft selvages are 2-spiral cords.The corners are all four tight, original and in excellent condition. Thetassels are all four restored and excellent condition. It has not been cleaned, is fairly clean& comes from a non-smoking home. Bothsides are shown in photos above. Colorsare great in this piece of old American Indian art and they are: hand carded & blended natural brownishgrey, light brown, creamy ivory white and natural black along with hand dyedaniline cardinal red, wine red, transitional orange, over dyed variegated black, yellowgold & turquoise blue. Complete withlazy lines, this example of unique Native Americana is ready to tuck away in your ownprivate rug & blanket collection. (2278CLK)
