For sale is a wonderful bronze trumpet or flaring vase made by Carl Sorensen of Philadelphia, Pa. A well known figure in the Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the century, Carl Sorensen later went on to work as a designer for Tiffany Studios, New York and Louis Comfort Tiffany. The vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 5 1/4\" tall and has a diameter of just under 5 1/16\".

The vase has a wonderful form with a great patina on bronze. It displays a round bottom with a wide flaring top opening. There are 6 concentric rings that circle the bottom portion of the vase. The top 2 are quite thin and the bottom 4 are substantially larger. This gives this vase that Art Deco flavor. The green patina very vibrant and extremely well executed. The interior of the vase has a different shade of the deep mottled green. The underside bottom of the vase even shows this wonderful deep rich Patina.

This vase is considered to be in very good condition to excellent condition as there are no cracks or dings to the metal. The top lip is nice and even. The vase does show signs of use on the inside top lip and top of the foot\'s outer edge. There is some patina wear between the rings along the bottom. Other than this typical wear it is an excellent example. The vase is signed on the underside bottom. It has the script impressed signature mark \"Carl Sorensen\" along with the \"CS Bronze\" impressed emblem.

Purchase with confidence as this vase will enhance any Arts and Crafts, Mission style decor. It will look outstanding on that Stickley bookcase and will work just wonderful with that matte green art pottery collection. This vase was made circa 1925-1930.
