100% Guaranteed AUTHENTIC, this Cartier piece has been in my family for years and ittruly showcases the highest quality craftsmanship and gems that Cartier offered its clients in the mid-1900s.

This piece originally was created as a brooch but I never wore brooches like my grandmother did, so I had Cartier in NYC convert the brooch into a pendant. To do so, they removed the pin of the brooch which had the original (and very worn) Cartier hallmarks, and they created a new loop to attach this converted pendant to a chain, and that platinum loop now carries the Cartier hallmarks. (Same hallmarks, just now on a new piece of platinum that is serving a different purpose.)

Other than this piece being converted from a brooch to a pendant, this piece has all of its original stones and beautiful open metal work done in platinum which requires true artisans.

I am selling this item in the hopes ofbeing able to finally finish payingoff the hospital formy brother-in-law\'s stem cell transplant. We have raised a lot of money selling everything that wasn\'t bolted to the house :) and some things I hoped to not sell, but we need to finish paying them and I need one of my very special pieces of jewelry to hopefully sell in order to make that happen (or my son strikes gold with his metal finder on the beach!! ;)
