Ifyour a Casper the friendly ghost fan or collector it doesn\'t get more rare than this. This is a MOC (mint on card) original (first production run) of the Casper the friendly ghost Toss-up Balloon. These have got to be seriously rare and hard to find.
This was produced in the late 60\'s right around the same time as the highly rare and sought after U-control Ghost found in the back of comic books..The Casper balloon was actually the same balloon used to make the original 1960\'s U-Control ghosts (see photo of U-Control ghost) The U-control ghost is NOT INCLUDED..I just thought it would be interesting to mention that they were the same ghost.
Casper is a qualatex toss-up balloon that inflates to 3 feet tall when inflated, you punch out the attached feet on the backing card, attach the feet to the inflated balloon and toss him in the air and watch him return. Float him in the air and he lands on his feet.
I have no idea if he will actually inflate after nearly 50 years, so he is being sold as is and as pictured. If you have any questions or require more pictures just ask. He is still in his original sealed and unopened plastic bag that\'s nearly 50 years old.
This is the first production run of the Casper Toss-Up balloon, the first ones were priced at 29 cents, the later ones were priced at 39 cents and the ones in the very early 70\'s had a smaller backing card. Also on the first run the Harvey Comics logo on the front left was yellow in color, in the later ones it was white.
