DescriptionFree Priority Shipping with insurance! This is a nice cast iron heavy 6 pound Black Americana mechanical bank. This is a reproduction bank of the original 1896 J.E. Stevens bank. The bank is marked on the bottom in the cast iron \"J.E. Stevens Pat. 455 1896\". The back of the bank is marked \"Jolly _____ Bank\" as shown. It is in new working condition, as with all cast iron it has a ding or two, but it does not detract from the piece. The bank works by placing the coin in the hand then pushing the lever on the back and the hand moves up to the mouth dropping the coin into the mouth where it falls down into the bank. The eyes roll back and the tongue moves back when the lever is pulled as well. The bank measures 4 3/4 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep as well as 5 1/2 inches tall.
