Booklet/Brochure introducing the SS France I (1912) from the CGT French Line. English text. Special presentation Folio of 12 bookplate illustrations (7 b/w, 5 color) with tissue overlays having descriptions printed on them. Given out to passengers who were on theinaugural voyage in April of 1912. Two foldouts printed with descriptions of the interior decoration(s) of the ship. Cover is covered in claret/burgundy red watered moire patterned silk ebossed in gold. Part of a large longtime collection of Ocean Liner Memorabilia. Many items were bought over a period of 30+ years from Ken Schultz.

Measures: 8 1/4” by 11”Marked: Devambez Graveur Paris () Condition: Very Good/Good (Cover has some wear with loss of gold/darkening to embossing, foldout sections with text have some foxing/spots, plates are in really nice shape, green rag paper foldout sections to hold the plates in place have wear along folds with some tears)

All Items are shipped USPS Priority unless otherwise noted or requested. I gladly ship overseas but items worth over 100.00 will have to go Priority Insured or First Class Mail International Registered (for tracking purposes). I will however automatically add insurance to invoices on items valued over 100.00 (which means that you pay for it and it will be added to the handling fee).
