ONE OF THE FINEST 1893 CHICAGO COLUMBIAN /CHICAGO WORLDS FAIR ANTIQUE COLLECTIONS YOU WILL EVER SEE ON . Souvenirs from the so-called extravagant \"White City\" built for the world\'s fair in Chicago. All these items date to 1892-1893. The souvenirs are housed in an antique 1870s gothic walnut display case with framing showing detailed chip carving, routed quatrefoils, trefoils, spires, gold leaf highlights and gold lettering. Frame is in MINT condition. Shadow box has an interior constructed with exotic genuine African lacewood. The glass is the original distorted \"wavy\" antique glass. Gothic display case is over 5 ft. tall- has overall measurements of 62 \"x 31\" x 4.5\" depth. It contains a varied assortment of the original 1892-1893 souvenirs from the Columbian exposition/ Chicago Worlds fair. Items include transferware plates, embossed milk glass Christopher Columbus plate, 2 rare embroidered silk ribbons from the Women\'s building and Machinery Hall, commemorative silver coins, Keystone watch fob, a necklace pendant, Columbia silver dollars in very good condition issued by the US Mint-bothfront and back displayed, Columbus silver plate matchsafe, mother of pearl coin purse, silver plate trinket box, several admission tickets, 1893 Exposition cigar box label, postcards, exposition photo album guide and maps, leather and silver plate coin purse, variety of souvenir sterling silver spoons from each major exhibit displayed in a beautiful antique chip carved display rack, Christopher Columbus belt buckle.
