This is an antique 140 year old Chinese carving in the shape of plum blossoms.

This carving was probably once incorporated into a much larger piece of furniture like a wardrobe (see last two pictures). During the Chinese cultural revolution most of these fabulous carvings were destroyed. Some were saved and warehoused until now. As China attempts to maintain her long cultural heritage, such carvings are no longer being allowed out the country. We have a limited number that we shipped from China 10 years ago. This may be your last chance to own such a piece of China\'s ancient past.

With exception of an aged patina, this carving measures 16\" long by 5 1/2\" wide and 1/4\" deep (40.5 x 14 x 0.5cm) and,havingbeen well loved for over a century and a half, it remains in very fine condition.
