SUNTAN BEAUTY is MARGARET FACE CINDERELLA by MADAME ALEXANDER, with PALE GREEN SLEEP EYES & ORIGINAL BLONDE BRAIDED WIG! This VINTAGE DOLL has DELICATE SMALL HANDS, EVEN BODY COLOR, & is WELL STRUNG & POSEABLE! Cinderella wears her ORIGINAL CINDERELLA SILVER STAR SATIN GOWN with SILVER BRAID TRIM! She stands 14 inches tall! Her ORIGINAL BLONDE CENTER STITCH WIG IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION with TIGHTLY BRAIDED CROWN & LONG CURLS. As you can see from the photos, CINDERELLA HAS PRINCE CHARMING\'S ATTENTION! He is not included in this listing but is listed separately. This Beautiful Lady came to my collection barefoot, which is common because her original shoes were clear hard plastic shoes that cracked easily over time. I gave Cinderella a choice of NEW SHOES and she wisely chose NEW LEATHER TIE SNAKESKIN PATTERN SHOES with little GOLD BUCKLES on the toes. They were not an inexpensive pair but ONLY THE BEST WOULD DO FOR A PRINCESS! She also chose a MADAME ALEXANDER JACQUELINE CRYSTAL RHINESTONE TIARA, prong set, with heavy silver metal backing. She feels PRETTY AS A PRINCESS in her NEW SHOES & GLITTERING TIARA! With EXCEPTIONAL ORIGINAL FACE COLOR: NATURAL PINK BLUSH CHEEKS & RUBY RED LIPS, perfectly painted, with ORIGINAL HANDPAINTED EYEBROWS & UNDER EYE LASHES, CINDERELLA IS RADIANT! The most amazing feature, however, in my humble opinion, is neither her gorgeous blonde hair nor her perfectly painted lips BUT HER MOST ENVIED FEATURE BY OTHER DOLLS (of more modern vintage)---HER 1940S PALE LIGHT GREEN CRYSTAL CLEAR SLEEP EYES! LIKE the Madame Alexander 17\" PRINCE CHARMING, currently listed, wearing the forest green cape to match his gorgeous green eyes, CINDERELLA HAS THE IDENTICAL LIGHT GREEN EYES which are a SIGNATURE FEATURE OF THE MADAME ALEXANDER DOLLS OF THE LATE 1940s! Her SMALL DELICATE HANDS are also a LATE 1940s SIGNATURE FEATURE OF THIS VINTAGE ERA. The Madame Alexander Doll Company began using HARD PLASTIC for their doll bodies & faces in the late 1940s. The BODY COLOR WAS INFUSED INTO THE HARD PLASTIC, making it extremely gorgeous & durable over Time! THIS BEAUTIFUL LITTLE CINDERELLA DOLL IS AN EXQUISITE EXAMPLE OF THE ARISTRY OF ALEXANDER! Madame Alexander also chose to set the GOLD STANDARD FOR DOLL MAKING by choosing GORGEOUS EXPENSIVE FABRICS FOR HER DOLLS TO WEAR. This Cinderella dress is the ORIGINAL SLIPPER SATIN FABRIC WITH TINY METAL STARS, clamped in place with tiny metal prongs piercing the fabric, scattered across her bodice, one sleeve, and her bustle skirt. Her DRESS IS NOT MINT, WITH SMALL AGE SPOTS scattered at the back, with one large noticeable quarter size rust spot near the hem. I have washed rust spots out of slipper satin gowns but I hesitated because Cinderella\'s gown has metal stars. I did not want to introduce her tiny stars to water and perhaps lead to more rust. Fortunately, the rust spot is at the back of her gown, probably from a rusted doll stand, and is not noticeable when she is on display. She has been lovingly displayed in my SMOKE FREE, PET FREE DOLL ROOM, protected from sunlight & temperature extremes. I am no Madame Alexander doll expert but will do my best to ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT CINDERELLA IN ADVANCE OF PURCHASE.
