Here is another rare find, it\'s a Civil war US Navy hand stitched leather 8 inch boat bumper. The red leather is in what I think, great condition for it\'s age. The \"USN\" stamped on both sides is still readily visible. I added a picture that shows these boat bumpers being used on a row boat from the USS Onondaga on the James River. If you look at the picture, you can clearly see the same bumpers being used. These date from 1860-1880\'s. Not a common piece that you see come up for sale and like always starts at .99
