TheIMPRESSIVE sizethe clock has, cannot be captured on photo\'s....
The only thing I could do to make clear how big this clock is, is to put a
normal sized Warmink clock next to it (photo 1).
Thisclock is the largestHERMLE clock in its category there is.
With itsheight of14.3 Inchesandweight, exceeding 3.7 kgs, this is a
GIANT.
This clock has a FULLY SERVICED,windable Schwebegang
movement,which is running great and PERFECTLY ON TIME;
ON THE SECOND!!
This is not the case in more than 90% of clocks having a
schwebegangmovement, however seldom mentioned!
Clocks of this kindare there is various sizes, different kinds of
woodandshapes.
This Model is theLARGEST one there is, much larger then the
averageclockof this type.
There are bronzedecorations at the top corners of the front door.
The CUT clockface is an real work of art, having lots
of ENGRAVEDdecorations.
The carriage handle comes inbronze too.
Please take a look at the impressive size.....
The dial is made of SILVER PLATED metal, showing you the time in Roman
numbers,pointedout by beautifully shaped, black hands.
In between the Roman numbers there are floral decorations.
There are 60 partitions on the dial; one for each minute, making this
timepiece a very precise instrument and there are also 5 minute
marks in Arabic numbers.
ThisGerman HERMLE clock is in an Absolute STUNNING condition!
The 3 chimes are played on 8(!) relative largebars with
8(!) heavy hammers, which makes the sound totally different from
similarclocks featuring multiple chimes.
The chime will let you know each 15 minutes what time it is.
Ona quarter of an hour it playsa quarter of the chime,
On half hours it plays half the chime,
On 3 quarters of an hour it plays 3 quarters of the chime, and onfull
hoursit plays the complete chime being followed bystriking the full
hours, corresponding with the time at that moment.
An extra feature is that the chime can be switched on andoff by
means of ahandle IN FRONT of the clock, behind the front door,
with the CHIME SELECTOR, which also makes you able to choose
the chime you desire to listen to.
The sound of the chime is very warm!
The front door has real, THICK glass in it, FREE of scrathces!
On top you find a LARGE, bronze carriagehandle.
The clock runs wonderfully and smoothly becauseof
levelledsurface to keeprunning.
The 8 daysmovement also has a nice, quiet ticking.
On themovement you also find the numbers\"1050-020\", which
stands for themovement type and the amount of 2 Jewels, making this
clock having a very silent piece.
On the clocks face, you find the Hermle mark.
The HERMLE mark is also stamped on the movement, making this a
DOUBLE MARKED CLOCK, which is definately of added value!
Finally, there is written the country of manufactory \"Germany\".
This clock comes with a matching key.
Remark: This object is not new though in anabsolute amazing
condition.
Expectable time related, cosmetic minorimperfections might occur.
