Up for offer is a small waterpitcher made by Taylor, Smith &Taylor China, Chester, West Virginia, during the ca. 1901-1930period (likely the earlier part of that period). This small water pitcher stands 6½ incheshigh, and is of a 6 inch (including handle) by 4 inch oval design. It has a fancy embossed design, along with agold band along its rim, gold embellishments on the handle, and a narrowdecorative gold central band. Thepitcher is in very nice condition, with no chips or cracks, or evident staining. The popular Taylor, Smith and Taylor China(TST) company developed in 1901 and remained a prominent pottery company until1981. This one uses a very early maker’smark for the company, used starting in 1901 and for the first 15-20 years, anddecreasingly for several years, maybe until ca. 1930. With its design, this pitcher most likelydates from the ca. 1901-1910s period.
