Offered here is a circa 1930s dandy large Navaho weaving thatmeasures 6 feet 10 inches long by 4 foot 5 inches wide or 82” x 53”.It is attributed to the Teec Nos Pos or Red Mesa weaving area and is inexcellent condition. It was hand-wovenby an advanced expert weaver on a primitive upright loom of all Nativehandshorn, handcarded and beautifully handspun smooth, long staple Churro andChurro cross sheep wool, both weft & warp.Here is a gorgeous triple stepped concentric diamond field layout withwide bold double side borders. The outerTeec style border goes all the way around.This is a very high quality, beautifully woven old Indian textile foryour consideration.

We obtained this vintage Native American textile ona rug hunt in Arizonajust to offer you here on . It has avery smooth, even weft count averaging 26 per inch and a warp count of 7 perinch. The selvage cords are all inoriginal, excellent condition. Warpselvages are 2-spiral cords and weft selvages are natural weft loop finishedaround the outside warp. The corners areall four tight, original and in excellent condition. The tassels are all fouroriginal and in excellent condition. Ithas not been cleaned, is pretty clean now & comes from a non-smokinghome. Both sides are shown in photos above. Colors are great in this piece of oldAmerican Indian art and they are: handcarded & blended natural brownish grey, variegated brown, dark chocolatebrown to black & ivory white along with hand dyed aniline purplish brownand yellow gold.
