This sale is for 1lb of 68% Calcium Hypochlorite Granules whichare packaged in New 16oz. HDPE ScrewtopJar with a heat shrink seal,a Waterproof Instruction Label and sealed in a 6 Mil poly heatseal packagewith alaser printed copy of theMaterial Safety Data Sheet. The waterproof laser label, insures that the instructions will be available when needed, heat shrink seal and 6 mil (very thick)heat sealed poly package, assists in maintaining the long term integrity of the chemical, The MSDS gives handling information in case of emergency. This item is intended tobe stored long term (there is no expiration date as long as stored in a cool dry place) and be ready inan emergency. The actual dosage rate is not particularly critical and it is not likely to overdose on the product, too much chlorine in water merely gives it a heavy chlorine smell and taste, but it will not poison you. In fact it is OK to just let the chlorine naturaly disippate before drinking, if you need to in order for it to be palatable.

Directions for use:

1. Dissolve 1 Teaspoon (5.5 grams) into 1 Gallon of Water to make a stock chlorine solution (about 1000 ppm) - store in airtight container & discard solution after 1 month as it will gradually lose potency (do not drink this solution!)

2. To Treat Drinking water - add 1.5 oz (3Tbsp.) of stock chlorine solution to each gallon of water being treated (about 12 ppm) Allow mixture to sit for ½ hour before use

3. To use for Sanitizing – add 1 Quart stock chlorine solution to 1 Gallon of Water (1:4 Mix) for a 200ppm sanitizing solution
