Pair of California Pottery Asian Sitting Boy & Girl Figures with Vase, Circa 1950\'s
A Rare Pair of California Pottery Asian (Chinese) SittingBoy & Girl Figurines with Vases. Each figurine in a seated position ready for a spot of color in your kitchen shelf or window sill! These were discovered in a neighborhood sale sitting on a kitchen window sill held firmly down with a small bit of florist clay, but would easily sit on a corner shelf near the window as well! Each figure has on one side a small vase that would hold a fresh bloom or clipping from your yard or garden. Each figure was carefully painted to bring out charming facial details and clothing details. Each vase has a couple of Asian characters painted on them. The boy has a long pony tail. The girl\'s hair, rolled into two side buns. Please review the photographs for additional details. The girl is marked only with the number 6 and the boy the number 5 behind their legs. No other marks found.
Measurements: Each figure measures approximately 6 1/2 inches tall x 4 inches wide x 3 inches deep. Measurements are approximate, but very close.
Condition: Each figure is in excellent vintage condition. NO Chips, Cracks, Scratches, Glaze Crazing, Repairs or Restorations were noted. They have been used in the past and show signs of debris andmineral deposits inside the vases, not bad and it does not distract from the outside at all.
